Candidates for U.S. House of Representatives, 8th CD, submit their paperwork with the Chair of the Eighth (8th) Congressional District Committee.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- BEGIN FILING 12 NOON on Friday, May 1, 2026 at the Arlington Central Library, in the Blue Room on the second floor.
- Original Primary Filing Fee Receipt from the Virginia Department of Elections for $3,480
- Petitions of Qualified Voters collected starting January 1, 2026
- For U.S. House of Delegates: 1000 signatures of qualified voters in the Eighth (8th) Congressional District.
