JAN, FEB 2015 Monthly Meetings at ACDC HQ

The 8th CD meets monthly, the 3rd Monday 8:00 pm, usually at T.C. Williams High School. Due to availability, rather than at T.C. Williams, the 2015 January and February meetings will be at the Arlington County Democratic Committee headquarters (2001 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Suite 604, Arlington, Virginia 22202; map: http://bit.ly/acdc-headquarters).

ACDC Headquarters

If you’re travelling north on Jefferson Davis Highway from Alexandria, go about one mile after crossing Four Mile Run and turn right on 20th St S.  Twentieth St is the next right turn after 23rd St S.  ACDC HQ is the first office building on your right.  Drive straight past the building and pull right into the small surface parking lot which can be used on Holidays despite what the signs may imply.

If you’re travelling north on 395, take exit 8A and continue on, bearing right until you come to a light at Army Navy Dr.  Continue straight across the light onto Hayes St, travelling south past the Mall.  Hayes bends to the left and becomes 18th St.  Once you travel under Jeff Davis Hwy, take your very next right onto S Bell St, go to the end of the block and ACDC will be right in front of you.  Bear left to cross 20th and pull into the surface lot.

From 66 east, take Rte 110 South just before the Roosevelt bridge and continue south until you merge with Rte 1 South.  Get to the left quickly and take a left on 20th St. S.

The building entrance is on the south side (courtyard side) of the building.  We will try and have someone stationed there to open the door.  Please allow plenty of time to arrive as Crystal City takes a little extra navigation.  Call the office if you have any questions; 703-528-8588.

Alternative Garage Parking

If you go past the surface lot, there is an  underground parking entrance just beyond our building, but before the Crystal City Shop on 20th St. S.  Drive all the way to the back of the garage to where you can access the tunnel to the elevators.  Someone will have to come down and get you because the elevators remain locked.  This is a good alternative if it is raining or the surface lot is full.
