2017 Call to Convention

Pursuant to the authority provided by the Virginia Democratic Party Plan, the Eighth Congressional District Democratic Committee (District Committee) hereby calls a Convention to be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Hammond Middle School (4646 Seminary Rd, Alexandria, VA  22304; map, click here). Registration will begin at 8:30 am on Saturday, May 20, 2017.

Purposes of the District Convention shall be:

  • To elect twenty Democratic State Central Committee members;
  • To consider resolutions; and
  • To conduct such other business as may properly come before the convention.
